Music in the Key of Jack

Jack Dejohnette who plays drums has won DownBeats Readers Polls for 5 years straight since 2005. His experience comes from playing in Keith Jarret for 25 years and many other "special projects". He says the reason he is so popular is because he does his own thing, meaning he doesn't conform to other's expectations but rather plays what he wants to.
His real fame recently comes from the Jack DeJohnette group. In this band Jack is freed to perform the way he wants to. He is not held back by other peoples restrictions because this is his band. The group instrumentals consist of a double neck electric guitar, acoustic piano, electric keyboard, bass guitar, and alto sax. Their songs consist of newly composed tuns as well as compositions that they already wrote.
Jack Dejohnette seems to me like the most famous drummer of our time. His list of acheivments is very impressive. he has the longest streak of being on top of the downbeat polls. I believe he is going to be on top for a few more years.

Homework

I like the Phillip glass peice the best. It is very soothing and easy to listen to. It reminds me of a rainy day which is way the backround video is aprporiate. It still isn't something i would listen to for recreation but i enjoy it in the backround.
My least favorite is the terry Riley Peice. It is gritty. I dont see why it is famous because im pretty sure i could write music which is better than that. After one minute of that song i wanted to bang my head against the wall.

Hildegard von Bingen was alive from 1098-1179. She was donated to a church because her parents could not feed her. She was the head of a group of nuns.
Michael Praetorius was a composer who was born in the late 16th century. He was the son of a luthern pastor. He composd for th lutheran church. After the death of his brother he became an organist. In his life time he wrote over 1200 tunes.
The chant by Hildegard von Bingen is very moving it was meant to be sung in a church and only one person is supposed to sing this song. It is monotonus. The songs purpose is to be holy and help people get closer to god. Micheals song is played by many instruments. It is also supposed to be played in a church but this one is much more lively.

"If you need a "tough" outdoor phone - this is it."

on January 15, 2010 by rushin2U
Pros: 1. Perform great for what it was designed.
2. Easy-to-use. Lit-up buttons.
3. Speakerphone quality is amazing!
4. Flashlights on these phones are BRIGHT - we already used it when got stranded in the woods!
5. 26 days of stand-by charge!

Cons: 1. Volume controls on the left side are hard to adjust while on the call - the up and down buttons could have been designed better.
2. 2.5 mm headphone jack
3. Wish it had non-verizon GPS software for hiking in the mountains.

Summary: My wife and I were looking for a strong, solid set of phones when we switched from ATT to Verizon (got tired of dropped calls, poor call quality).

We were not looking for smart phones of any kind. We go outdoors quite a bit and were looking for a phone with exactly the same features we found in this phone. In so far we found call quality to be great (we are not sure why so many poor reviews on the call quality), amazing speakerphone, decent camera quality to capture those unique moments when we don't have our digital camera present, Gz Gear has quite a few handy features, simplified menu.

Most importantly we know these phones will withstand freezing temperatures, water-resistant - they have already been tested by us in North-Central Washington. These phones perform well in mountains with PTT.

We care less for the music player, but did purchase micro-SDs for the photo and video storage and did through a few songs on them to test it out. Great music sound through the stereo!

Picture quality is great and easy-to-adjust the settings while in use.

The flip lid is attached in a very solid manner - nothing flimsy on this phone. We compared this phone for a few days to Barrage and a few other models. No comparison - these are right phones for us.

We are very happy with this purchase - no need to replace them for a few years.
